Feature wall or the whole room?

What are your opinions? I've selected this Orla Kiely Acorn Spot wallpaper for my home office. The vibe is 1960s, a bit funky, with neutral cream ceiling and other walls (if only some walls are papered).

Ordinarily I am all for wallpaper everywhere but I think in a a small office this might be a bit much. What about a wall of prints instead? You could frame some orla keily wallpaper samples and get some other nice prints or posters in similar colourways (olive, rust etc ) for a 60s/70s reference and get a nice big green plant in the corner.

The more I look at that wallpaper, the more it looks like pairs of eyes ὄ0 staring at me. But, don't let that put you off ὠ0

Personally I think that a small pattern wallpaper in a compact room is difficult to live with and you should choose something with a bigger pattern.

Your kitchen is going to look great, your instincts are good. Duck egg works beautifully with the floor colour. Be careful with feature walls - kitchens are busy spaces, you want the space to look as cohesive as possible rather than breaking it up with different coloured walls. And don't forget that light is a very important factor so get yourself a few sample pots (Farrow and Ball and Little Green have similar shades to the one you like) and paint A4 size paper with each colour. Stick these on the wall and look at them in all lights.

It is hard to advise you without a photo. I would paint the ceiling white. If you have a color you like, you might consider painting the lower part of the walls in a semi-gloss finish for ease of cleaning with a toddler and the upper part of the walls in the lowest sheen available (matte will be too much of a contrast and the even the color will look different).

Definitely funky! If you love it have a feature wall of it. Only you will know if you can work with it and not find it distracting. ( Perhaps all the ”eyes” will encourage productivity) You can always change it later if you dont love it enough

Wallpaper all the walls. It is a dynamic energising design. This will create a great working office. You will never know if you would have liked it if you dont do it. Go on, Live a little. Best of luck.

the whole room would be my go to and then you can move things about if you chose without being trapped by a feature wall. you can always add art and with files or stationery supplies taking up some of the space you will find it diminishes its 'power'. have fun and happy working :)

ps i wonder why you are facing the window when having it accessible by sitting facing the lower wall would give you some flexibility with shelving etc.
