Please help with kitchen colours!
Comments (20)If its a dark room then reflective surfaces will help .. but maybe step back and look at the style before you introduce colour? The detail on the doors make it a bit dated for an ultra modern look, but a vivid color would change things up, where pastels and neutrals may feel a bit samey ! The granite top will cool anything down ... my suggestion is change the flooring and get the doors spray painted Red!...See MoreKitchen colour help needed
Comments (16)Hi. I agree with jacksplash and Man About the House - hopefully OnePlan will find you, because I'm worried about your layout. Some of the figures are difficult for me to read on your floor plan but I'm thinking about all the doors and where they lead and the traffic flow of people. Is there room to get around things, especially, say if the fridge door is open? Can someone get by or do they walk in front of the oven? If someone's cooking, is there room? If someone is at the sink, can another person walk by? If people are sitting at the new rectangular dining table, can you get passed to that side door, the double doors, or the door to the stairs? With the big fridge in that spot I'd do a practice and erect cardboard boxes that equal the depth of the fridge and more that represent the island and see if there really is room for it all. Heres a helpful blurb in case OnePlan doesn't pop in: http://www.metric.org.uk/kitchen-planning (Maybe my username should be "killjoy"?!)...See MoreKitchen Colour, should I use the feature colour on more thank one wall

Comments (2)Just because grey is popular (and is still a best seller) it’s not outdated. It’s an easy colour to compliment with wall paint and accessories. Even add a feature wall or even wallpaper a wall. We still sell loads of it. I tend to agree with the yellow undertone on alabaster and cashmere is a difficult colour to compliment as it has pink or purple undertones depending on the light of day. Are you trying to match it with flooring? Green is also popular....See More- 2 years ago
