Black internal doors
Comments (14)Love the steel door and kitchen! I also like black architraves and skirts but without knowing the style of the house etc it could just look very wrong! I would personally try and choose a black paint with as much depth as possible and as least shine. The kitchen pictured is in Little Green Lamp Black, I haven't seen this in person but I suspect it would be worth looking at...See MoreDoor on a track for a downstairs loo..
Comments (7)Has your builder considered a pocket door? They can be bought easily now from screwfix or a Eclisse. If you have space internally inside the wc or externally in the hallway a false wall is built using a metal stud work frame. A sliding door is top hung on a track inside the false wall, the door slides within the cavity within Just remember the preferred distance from a wc (centred ) to side wall is approx 450mm...See MoreNew internal doors for 70-s semi
Comments (3)We went for oak effect and looked at both JB kind and LPD, both which had exceptional quality. In the end we went for LPD, which were slightly cheaper and the joiner was used to fitting. They look much more expensive than white doors and do lift the space especially if the spaces are decorated in light neutrals....See MoreInternal door colour ?
Comments (7)A quick update after this weekends DIY :) I got a couple of doors completely sanded back and undercoated - used zinsser b.i.n (been recommended that by a painter - expensive, but holy schmoley, if you're looking for a good undercoat this is the baby). Picked up a tin of F&B 'worsted' and popped a couple of coats on. I just grabbed a small tin from HomeBase and if I'm being honest I didn't check the paint finish - ended up with 'Estate Eggshell' - I love the colour but I'm not keen on the finish, it's a bit to Matt for my liking I think. As the doors will be a 'statement' then I'm looking at something a lot more glossy - I may go modern eggshell. I assume that the general consensus is gloss for door yeah ?...See MoreJonathan
