Help! Are my wall lights too high??
Comments (4)Yes, sorry, they are far too high. It will look much better if they are brought down to be reading lights either side of the headboard. Bedside lamps and keeping them where they are will look weird. Did you specify the height to the electrician? If so, he may move them for you for no extra cost. Do you need any other electrical work doing? If so, he might be amenable to negotiating if you didn't specify the height. Even though you've just painted, and it will be a pain and frustrating to move them, it will be worth it on the end. That's my opinion anyway. Especially if this is to be your sanctuary....See MoreHow to furnish a high traffic dead space
Comments (6)Not as fun as the swing (what a fab idea!) but maybe try to make it a sort of lobby/arrival space. So you could have a small console table with a narrow lamp, or set of shelves to the left of the hall door, this can be a place to drop mail and papers and stop it accumulating in the kitchen? and then perhaps a mirror between the two doors would be nice. PS lovely worktop - is it real marble?...See MoreLighting ideas for high ceiling kitchen
Comments (2)Have you considered a Crystal chandelier? I make custom pieces that would suit this space very well, possibly a maximum drop of 1m (if there is to be walking space underneath, longer if it is suspended above an island or similar) with the lighting sitting in a lighting plate at the top....See MoreAre flush ceiling lights dated? Can pendants go in high traffic areas?
Comments (10)If you're after a pendant light in the kitchen, you might want to think about a light and extractor in one to save space! We are Faber Cooker Hoods and we offer a variety of kitchen extractors, including ceiling and island hoods in all styles! For example, if you're all about a statement piece you will love the Nest Plus - it has micro LED lights and is made from free form glass meaning it looks like a chandelier! Faber's Up & Down technology also means you can raise the hood towards the hob for excellent extraction or raise it towards the ceiling to create more space! If you're after a more minimalist look, the High-Light might be for you. Available in modern contemporary colours, we have hoods that will easily match your decor.
