Comments (8)I would go for greys and whites to give it a spacious feel. If light is an issue try elephants breath by F&B as it will warm the area. Remove all the paper and paint walls. I personally think the dado would look good in white and will match your doors. Panelling under the dado could also look good and wouldn't date. You could try a diy version as shown in pic as panelling is dear. The laminate in the hall looks good so would keep this and personally would go for a neutral colour on the stairs or even try a stripe. you could try blinds instead of curtains. I would also add a couple of big statement lights on the hall and landing. If you really want some wallpaper, then add a feature wall where the console table is or even at the top of the stairs to draw your eye upwards....See MoreWindow on half landing

Hope that helps and hopefully see you there!...See MoreHallway, Stairs and Landing advice please :)
Comments (2)You definately have the drop for a more statement shade in the staircase. An option would be a shade that allows light upwards as well as down, but please avoid a chandelier! I think the fashion for chandeliers has past and they are a bit cold in their feel and not welcoming cor a hall. Something with fabric texture could work well, or one of those petal shades....See MoreNeed some help on how to decorate this awarkward shaped window.
Comments (11)Hi Gill, Hope you have had a great weekend Love the last picture with the Dog looking out of the window :) A few observations: - Some symmetry is missing from this space to take the focus away from the shape of the walls surrounding the window, this can be achieved using wall art, wallpaper either side, wall panelling, wall lighting or sconces, the overall aim is to inject some texture or colour to enhance and disguise the area walls. - White shutter blinds would allow you to manipulate the amount of light you have coming in and provide privacy - The entire area could be changed also with the introduction of window seating (cannot see the other side of the room and if it would accommodate the sofa currently there, or by changing the shape of the sofa - drawing in more curves Warmest and best wishes Team SPEAK...See MoreLisa Malopa
