Existing canopy in garden - how to enclose?

Hi all
Recently moved house. There’s a canopy in the back garden leading out from the dining room. Wooden roof, supported by wooden beams, and skylight windows BUT open to the elements down the front and sides (the back obviously up against the house wall).
Is there a relatively easy way to enclose the space? I’m thinking some sort of glass sliding door and windows? Or is that going to be difficult to attach to an existing canopy roof? and would it need some sort of building regs sign off (in the UK)?
