Comments (6)Thank you Carolina. it's amazing how the wall in orange has dramatically changed the look of the room. I am definitely stealing from this idea by changing my accent colour to Orange from Red. I think it works better for the brick wall....See MoreMedia Wall approval

Comments (3)You don’t really need an interior design or project manager for a media wall. All you need to do is decide what you want to place in it and where, draw a plan of the ’boxes’ and ask a joiner to quote you. It would probably be done out of MDF and painted or sprayed. It’s an easy straight forward job....See MoreMedia / feature wall
Comments (4)I think you have a few things to consider here. Are you also looking to add a fire as per the second image? Or just the TV? As the width and balance of those will play a part in the decision as to whether you need to center and build out the wall further or not for the symmetry. I agree with colourhappy that the off centre can look lovely and gives you more scope for a quirkier design. But of course that depends on the finish you are after. If you want the same style as per the image you shared then making it symmetrical would be better. In terms of curtains and the shelving - you would need to make sure your shelves are deep enough but perhaps do not come out to the full depth of the chimney so there is room for the curtain pole. Or alternatively you could look at roman blinds or shutters which would fit within the window frame? Hope that helps a little?...See Morerinked
