mirror frame advice bathroom

I have had installed a large mirror which should have fit perfectly a space up to the ceiling. However the contractor working on my bathroom got the wrong size. Besides, the wall is not perfectly straight. As a result, on the left there is a gap that widens as you to from top to bottom. Along the top there is a 2-3 cm gap from the ceiling on and same thing on the right.
Any suggestions on how to address this? I was thinking of getting a strip of stainless steel to apply as a frame.. many thanks
