Is this really your living room? Looks like a teens bedroom 😊 can you share more photos and measurements. Not really seeing enough to advise.

I have an 60 ft chain link fence backing onto a wooded bank with the railway line at the top. Every spring I clear the ivy and brambles that grow through. I want to retain the idea of looking through the fence ( you can barely see it so the garden seems to extend) rather than enclosing with fence panels. I am looking for some idea for planting /structures to put along the fence to hold back the undergrowth from the other side. I was thinking something striking like growing black bamboo, but this could look incongruous against the woodland. Pics before cleared , shiny items are mirrors .

Have white floors, black sofas with a tv mounted in the wall and a black coffee table. On the walls hang some red and bright colour wall decorations. While spotlights and for two sides wall with the decorations on paint them balck and on the wall where the tv is mounted and the wall opposite with the sofa on paint white! Hope this helps x

Wow, the height of the room is amazing! You could have a lovely time experimenting with perspective with shelves, art work and lighting. It really depends on your style as you could have a dated haven or fusion of old and new styles! As you mentioned cosy, dark wooden floors would be perfect for that 'nights in by the fire' feel. Light walls would help contrast the dark and help the room keep bright and airy. As for furniture, a low back brown sofa with rustic, industrial inspired coffee tables, side tables and shelving would look amazing. Hope this helps and good luck to your project!
