Need help with feature wall in kitchen
Comments (42)Wow, you have done a great job already with your kitchen. You have had so many great ideas re. the wall there isn't anything on that I could add. To solve the problem of the chairs hitting the wall I would either opt for a huge floor to ceiling mirror which would encourage one and all to be careful when leaving their seat or my preferred option would be to replace the chairs on that side with a bench. I'd cover the bench in either shabby chic cushions or a deer or sheepskin rug for comfort and I'd play with table decor. Get chair covers for the redundant chairs and use them in the bedrooms - one in each corner. Then for formal dinner parties or for when the table is extended you simply remove the covers and add them to the table and you can still use the bench if the table is extended....See MoreHelp needed on wall colour
Comments (0)So undecided on my kitchen wall colour..painted the kitchen units dark grey ( has a bluey undertone), handles copper, drop pendant lights copper. New LVT flooring to go on ( selected the one on the right), now would love any suggestions on wall colouring please! Thinking bright feature wall then one wall white. Comments (4)Hiya, I love the idea of a green sofa a wonderful choice to make a statement in the room! I love the options that Naturally Allard has given above and I would advise the same, I personally would opt for an off white with perhaps a slight undertone of green - Lick, Coat and F&B do an amazing range of neutral colours with very low VOC's toxins which is always a bonus. With the more neutral walls you could bring the green together with tones through art work, soft furnishings and interior accessories. I would also consider, depending on the style of course and your personal preference perhaps adding a touch of dark leather for interest and additional texture in the scheme - stools or storage trunks? With regards to making the room feel cosy, I would definitely focus on lighting across the space, even though the room would be a bright colour, adding soft glow lighting in combinations of floor lights, uplighters behind furniture or in plants will add cosiness in the evenings and darker times of the year. Good luck with it and hope you love the sofa!...See MoreHelp with hallway wall move!
Comments (4)Thank you so much. I quite like the top photo but which style door do you think would go best with them for the rest of the house please? 4 panel or 1930s style?...See MoreJames Gilmour
