I recently bought a house and need colour suggestions for the kitchen/dining room

It appears quite dark in your pics. I think it depends on your furniture, light levels, orientation and the effect you are trying to create. I would definitely go lighter. A version of white would lift it.

Hi Aqsa! I feel like you could go two ways here if you're keeping in the kitchen units (which seem like a farmhouse style) - you could keep it as a scandi look and style with beige/neutral colours) or if you're looking for a darker / more luxurious feel maybe incorporate a black feature wall to not overpower the rest of the room but to also create that beautiful design. Personally, I need to see a strong contrast between the windows and the walls. Suzie's suggestion of trying out colours sounds very sensible (easy to do, even in MS Paint). And I wouldn't go for a matte finish, though silk would probably be okay. Cut a few pieces of wood or cardboard into approx the size of one piece of window wood and try out some tester pots. Stand them up in front of the windows to check how they will look when you stand back. MUCH cheaper than getting it wrong and regretting it.

TV unit & wall colour suggestion please (picture below)

Hello again, We were originally getting Hammonds 'cashmere' colour TV cabinets all across the bottom of our TV wall plus two shelves on either side of the TV. But now we are reconsidering the cashmere colour. Any suggestions on what colour cabinets to go for and what colour walls to go to compliment a dark room(preferably Dulux)? This is the maximum brightness/natural light this room gets. Its quite dark on a very cloudy day. Attaching the current wall and also the cabinet/unit sketch. Hoping it'll give an idea of what we are trying to achieve. Ignore the colour in the sketch. My husband thinks they'll look too sterile/hospital like if we choose white shades but since that room is pretty dark and the cabinets will be the focal point, I don't know what wall-cabinet colour combinations to go for. The adjoining kitchen/dining room is Country Cream with greenish-grey gloss cabinets. Again that's also a dark room because of a massive Oak Tree. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for your comment, I’ve looked on F&B and they pair it with Green but was hoping someone on here had used James White with a different colour. Sorry, i think your details stand out but the neighbours details are a little lost although it looks really nice? Was just wondering if you’d consider painting the black bits on yours a slightly darker shade like SL dark or serpentine? Just a thought anyway, what does the rest of the street look like? Good luck anyway, i went through so many testers for mine! i’d probably paint the red bit white so you can easily test next to the neighbour. Colours are also a couple of shades lighter outside and it may look different on the brick versus the render
